Friday's Scrimmage Ends In A 1-1 Tie

Chapel Hill, NC --Â The North Carolina Tar Heels wrapped up their second full week of scrimmages on Friday as the Blue and Navy squads battled to a 1-1 tie in a 6 1/2 scrimmage at Boshamer Stadium.
Both runs were scored in the first inning. Alberto Osuna drove in a run in with a single in the top of the inning, then Parks Harber drilled an RBI-double in the bottom of the inning.
Harber's double was the only extra base hit in the scrimmage. No player had multiple base hits, and there were only six total hits. Vance Honeycutt, Casey Cook, Alberto Osuna and Colby Wilkerson each singled for Navy. Alex Madera's single was the only other Blue hit besides Harber's double.
Five pitchers saw action: Jake Knapp, Matt Poston, Ben Peterson, Aiden Haugh and Connor Hegan. Haugh tossed 3.0 scoreless, hitless innings, striking out two and only facing ten batters. Poston also threw 3.0 scoreless, hitless innings while striking out three. Hegan threw a quick, 1-2-3 inning on just seven pitches.
The Tar Heels will now take the weekend off.
