Offense Explodes In Men’s Soccer Victory At VCU

RICHMOND, VA. – Quenzi Huerman's two-goal effort paced the North Carolina men's soccer team (2-0-1) past Virginia Commonwealth, 4-1, Monday night in non-conference action.
How It Happened
• Carolina nearly got on the board in the opening half, with shots on goal by Til Zinnhardt and Ahmad Al-Qaq, as both teams entered the halftime break with a scoreless tie.
• In the 53rd minute, Quenzi Huerman broke the scoreless affair, off a give-and-go feed from Juan Caffaro.
• Just a few minutes later, the host Rams matched, as William Hitchcock scored off a pass courtesy of Moussa Ndiaye in the 59th minute.
• The Tar Heels and Huerman wasted no time answering, as Martin Vician and David Bercedo fed Huerman for his second goal of the evening.
• In the 82nd minute, Vician received a dish from Al-Qaq to continue the offensive success for Carolina.
• Moments later in the 86th minute, Ernest Bawa sealed the deal for the Tar Heels, with the assists credited to Huerman and Matt Edwards.
