Baseball Ranked 14th In Perfect Game Preseason Poll

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – North Carolina garnered its first preseason ranking ahead of the 2024 campaign Friday, landing No. 14 in the Perfect Game Top 25 Poll.
The Tar Heels are one of six ACC teams to receive preseason recognition, along with No. 1 Wake Forest, No. 10 Virginia, No. 18 NC State, No. 21 Clemson, and No. 23 Duke. Future ACC member Stanford is ranked No. 12.
Carolina will play 17 games against teams ranked in the poll, with a three-game conference series against Duke, NC State, Virginia, and Wake Forest and a three-game non-conference series versus No. 17 East Carolina. The Tar Heels also have single games with No. 13 South Carolina and No. 25 Coastal Carolina.
UNC returns 19 lettermen from its 2023 squad that advanced to the program's sixth consecutive NCAA Regional while welcoming 23 newcomers.
The 2024 season opens Feb. 16 with a three-game series against Wagner at Boshamer Stadium.

Season tickets start at $125 for general admission, with reserved chairback seating at $190. The Diamond Heels have 34 games scheduled at Boshamer Stadium this season, hosting NCAA Tournament participants Campbell, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, and East Carolina in addition to ACC series with Georgia Tech, Louisville, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, and Virginia Tech.
