Blue Takes Second Straight Win In FWS

Chapel Hill, NC--Â The Blue squad withstood a furious, four-run rally by Navy in the bottom of the seventh and final inning to take a 9-6 win in Game II of the Fall World Series, their second win in two days.
Offensive highlights:Â The Blue squad was led by Hunter Stokely, who was 3-4 with four RBI. Stokely had a pair of doubles. Sawyer Black, who had a double, was 2-4 with two RBI and one run scored. Tyson Bass was 2-3 with one RBI on his double. Bass scored three times. Alex Madera was 2-5 with two runs scored. Gavin Gallaher had a double to left-center for Blue's other extra base hit.
Rom Kellis V led Navy by going 2-4 with two RBI and one run scored. Kellis had a double to left-center. Â Sam Angelo blasted a 367-foot homer to left. Parker McCoy's double was the other extra-base hit for Navy.
Pitching highlights:Â Dylan Weber, Ryan Hench, Matthew Matthijs and Hugh Collins pitched for Blue. Tom Chmielweski, Camron Padgett, Ryan Lynch and Mason Yokum threw for Navy. Matthijs had the longest outing of either squad, giving up one run on two hits while striking out two in 3.2 innings.
The two squads will play again on Friday at 12:00 noon.
