Women’s Soccer Hosts Clemson On Alumni Night, Anson Dorrance Day

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Following a weekend road trip out west, the fourth-ranked North Carolina women's soccer team returns to Chapel Hill for its penultimate regular season home game against Clemson on Thursday, Oct. 17. 
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET at Dorrance Field. The game will air on ACCNX with Matt Krause and Dean Linke on call. Tickets are available for purchase here.
The team will honor legendary coach Anson Dorrance, who announced his retirement on Aug. 11, during Thursday's game as part of Dorrance Day festivities. UNC will also welcome back its incredible alumni with a ceremony at halftime.

- Faasse leads the team with 10 goals and 21 points. Her five game-winning goals rank first in the ACC and second nationally, while her 10 goals sits at seventh in the country.
- Goalkeeper Clare Gagne has been credited with eight of UNC's nine shutouts. She has matched her career-high five saves three times this year, including in the last two games.
- Freshman defender Trinity Armstrong is currently playing at the FIFA U17 World Cup in the Dominican Republic from Oct. 16-Nov. 3. She left for youth national team duties on Oct. 6.
- North Carolina is No. 1 in the NCAA RPI for the third straight week.
- UNC is also ranked No. 4 in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll. The team has been ranked for 522 consecutive weeks.
