CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Twenty-seven outstanding Tar Heels were announced and honored on Monday night as UNC's 2023-24 Athletic Director's Scholar-Athletes, an award that recognizes selected Tar Heel student-athletes for outstanding academic achievement.
All have represented their teams with distinction, balancing the demands of participating in a varsity sport while also excelling academically. Most of the honorees are seniors, but in some cases an outstanding junior is selected.
Women's track and field senior McKenna Brunick earned the honor for the second year in a row.
