Baseball Wraps Up Homestand Against N.C. A&T

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – North Carolina will wrap up its five-game homestand on Tuesday, March 26, against North Carolina A&T at Boshamer Stadium. The game will stream live on ACC Network Extra.
Tuesday's game marks the 11th meeting between the Diamond Heels and Aggies since 1993. Carolina is 8-2 against N.C. A&T, with nine of the 10 previous meetings played at Boshamer Stadium. The other one was at the USA Baseball Complex in Cary, N.C.
Carolina is coming off a series sweep of Georgia Tech over the weekend, while the Aggies took two of three games on the road at College of Charleston. The Diamond Heels are 19-0 at Boshamer Stadium this season and have won 23 straight at home dating back to last year.
Right-handed pitcher Olin Johnson will take the mound for Carolina.

North Carolina is ranked among the Top 15 in four of five recognized collegiate baseball polls, peaking at No. 11 in the NCBWA and USA Today Sports Coaches polls. The Diamond Heels moved up six positions in the D1 Baseball poll to No. 14 and jumped three spots in the Baseball America poll. UNC maintained its No. 14 ranking by Perfect Game.
DIAMOND HEEL HURLERS AMONG ACC BEST
With an ERA of 3.93, North Carolina has the second-lowest ERA in the ACC behind Duke (3.56). The Tar Heels posted a team ERA of 2.38 in five games last week to drop its overall average by 0.29 points. Matthew Matthijs leads all NCAA Division I players in wins with nine and ranks second in the league with 13 appearances.
RUN PRODUCERS
Casey Cook and Alberto Osuna have combined for 68 runs this season. Cook ranks second in the ACC with 37 RBIs, and Osuna is eighth with 31. Osuna has driven home a run in four of the last five games and six of the past ten. Cook leads the team with 11 multi-RBI games, followed by Osuna and Vance Honeycutt with nine.
HOME RUN HITTERS
Parks Harber and Vance Honeycutt homered in each of the last two games. Harber hit a three-run home run Saturday and a solo shot Sunday, while Honeycutt belted a two-run homer Saturday and a three-run blast Sunday. Both players drove in six runs in the two games.

Gavin Gallaher enters Tuesday's game, riding the team's longest hitting streak at six games. He went 13-for-24 (.542) with a double, grand slam, three sacrifice flies, and 10 RBIs in the previous six games.
