Graduate student Lexi Donarski and freshman Reniya Kelly have been named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Women's Basketball Team, announced on Thursday by the league.
Donarski, a guard from La Crosse, Wis., is working toward her MBA at UNC's Kenan-Flagler Business School. In her first season at Carolina, she played in all 33 games and started 32, averaging 10.5 points per game. She ranked fourth in the ACC in threes per game, averaging 2.24. She earned Academic All-Big 12 honors at Iowa State, where she earned her undergraduate degree and majored in management.
Kelly, a guard from Hoover, Ala., has not yet declared a major. She played in 21 games last season and started 11, averaging 4.6 points per game including a career-high 20 at Virginia. She became the first true freshman to start a game for UNC since the 2020-21 season.
The All-ACC Academic Team recognizes both athletic and academic success. A student-athlete must have a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester as well as a 3.0 cumulative average and also must have appeared in at least 50 percent of the season's games.
