Softball Falls To Louisville, 2-1

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The North Carolina softball team fell to Louisville, 2-1, in the series opener on Friday night at Anderson Stadium. The Tar Heels (28-15, 8-11 ACC) had just two hits in the loss, including a solo home run from Carlie Myrtle, and a single from Abby Settlemyre.
Both of the Cardinals runs came from solo home runs, one in the top of the first and another in the top of the seventh.
Kenna Raye Dark (8-4) took the loss in the circle, throwing a complete game, allowing a pair of pair of earned runs and six hits.
The Tar Heels will rematch on Saturday in a doubleheader starting at 2 p.m.
