Men's Soccer Welcomes California Baptist For Home Opener

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The No. 6 North Carolina men's soccer team returns to Dorrance Field this Sunday, hosting California Baptist at 7:30 PM in the home opener.

SUNday Soccer
• The first 200 Carolina students at Sunday's match between the Tar Heels and Lancers will received a free pair of Carolina sunglasses.
• In addition, all students who attend will receive two Carolina Fever points.

Against Cal Baptist
• Sunday's meeting is the first between the two programs, as the match will be the Lancers' third match against a current ACC opponent since elevating to the Division I level in 2018.
• Entering the home opener, Carolina is 11-0-2 under Carlos Somoano during his tenure as head coach.

• On Thursday's the Tar Heels opened the 2024 campaign at UAB, collecting a 1-0 victory.
• Martin Vician's penalty kick in the 71st minute lifted Carolina over the Blazers.
