CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The North Carolina men's soccer program (1-0-1) welcomes FIU (0-2-0) Thursday evening, in game one of the Carolina Nike Classic.

Dogs At Dorrance
• Fans are encouraged to bring their dogs to Thursday's match, with the first 150 dogs in attendance receiving a free Carolina bandana.
• In addition, Thursday's doubleheader at Dorrance Field will include a Fan Fest, with yard games, bounce house and more.
Carolina Nike Classic
• For the first time since 2022, the Carolina Nike Classic returns, with two home matches at Dorrance Field this weekend.
• The Tar Heels are 32-7-3 all-time in the event, dating back to 1998.
• In 2022, Carolina defeated Air Force (2-1) and South Florida (1-0) in the event.
All-Time Against FIU
• Thursday is the seventh all-time matchup between the two schools, with the series tied at 3 wins apiece.
• The Tar Heels and Panthers meet for the first time in two seasons, a 2-1 victory in favor of FIU.
Last Time Out
• On Sunday, the Tar Heels and California Baptist battled to a scoreless draw, in the first meeting between the two teams.
• Matthew Acosta, Ahmad Al-Qaq Andrew Czech, Charlie Harper, Parker O'Ferral and Riley Thomas played the full 90 in the field.
