Men's Tennis Set For ITA All-American Championships

The University of North Carolina men's tennis team will get its 2024 fall season into full gear this weekend when team members compete at the ITA Men's All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla. The University of Tulsa is hosting the men's event for the 19th consecutive year.
Tar Heel sophomore Patrick Schoen will take part in the qualifying draw, while Anthony Wright, Constantinos Djakouris and Logan Zapp will begin play in the pre-qualifying draw. Schoen and Zapp will also play in the doubles pre-qualifying draw.
As one of the most storied championships on the college tennis calendar, the ITA All-American Championships will hold even more prestige this year as they serve as one of four qualifying pathways for the NCAA Division I Individual Championships, which will now be played in the fall season from November 19-24 in Waco, Texas.
At the end of the weekend, 10 singles players and four doubles teams will have earned entry into the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships, to be held November 19-24 in Waco, Texas.

Singles: Pre-Qualifying (128), Qualifying (64), Main Draw (64). From this field, 10 singles players will qualify for the NCAA
Singles Championship (eight main draw quarterfinalists & two feed-in consolation finalists).
Doubles: Pre-Qualifying (32), Qualifying (32), Main Draw (32). Meanwhile, four doubles teams will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship through the All-American Championships (four main draw semifinalists).
