Fencing Releases 2024-25 Schedule

CHAPEL HILL – Highlighted by five events in the state of North Carolina, the UNC men's and women's fencing teams announced their 2024-25 schedules on Wednesday, which gets started Oct. 4-7 at the October North American Cup in Atlantic City, N.J.

The Tar Heels will return to the northeast Oct. 26-27 to compete in the Nikki Frank Classic in Philadelphia, before coming home and taking on Duke in Durham on Nov. 2. Carolina heads back to Philly for the final action of the fall, competing in the Elite Invitational Nov. 16-17.

The new year gets started with the team's final trip to Philadelphia, as the Heels will take part in the Philly Invitational Jan. 17-18. Carolina will head across Pennsylvania for the Penn State Invitational on Jan. 26, before returning to North Carolina for four consecutive meets.

On Feb. 8, UNC will be at the Beguinet Classic in Durham and then host the Miller Invitational on Feb. 9. Student-athletes will head over to Charlotte Feb. 15-18 to compete in the Junior Olympics.

The Heels will then host the ACC Championships at Eddie Smith Field House Feb. 22-23. Last season, in South Bend, the UNC men's fencing team upset host Notre Dame and the rest of the field to take home its ninth ACC title and first since 1980.

NCAA Regional action is set for March 8, NCAA Championships are March 19-23, and the April North American Cup is in Los Angeles Apr. 10-13.
