Women’s Soccer Prepares For Duke

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – No. 19 University of North Carolina women's soccer (9-4, 3-2 ACC) will travel up the road to Durham, N.C. to take on No. 14 Duke (7-3-1, 2-3 ACC) Sunday afternoon. The Tar Heels and Blue Devils are set for a 1 p.m. kickoff on ESPNU at Freeman Field in Koskinen Stadium.

The Matchup
- UNC and Duke are known for their long-standing rivalry across all sports. Carolina women's soccer owns a 45-6-5 all-time record against Duke.
- The Tar Heels are 17-1-3 on the road against the Blue Devils. Last time the teams clashed at Koskinen Stadium, Duke claimed a 1-0 win.
- UNC and Duke last met in the 2024 College Cup Semifinals where the Tar Heels topped the Blue Devils 3-0. In the semifinal matchup, Kate Faasse scored a goal off a penalty kick and Olivia Thomas also recorded a goal for Carolina.
- Last season, Carolina split the series with Duke going 2-2. The Tar Heels' two wins came in the postseason (ACC Tournament and NCAA College Cup).
- Duke is the third ranked matchup for UNC this season, all coming within conference play.

- Lauren Malsom and Kennedy were named to the 21-player roster for the U-17 2025 FIFA Women's World Cup.
- UNC remains at No. 19 in the recent United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll.
- The Tar Heels are currently tied for sixth in the ACC standings.
