• Carolina won in Lexington for the first time since an 86-77 win on 12-1-2007.
• UNC is 7-8 vs. Kentucky in Lexington, including 3-5 at Rupp Arena,
• Including two NCAA Tournament losses in 1989 and 1992, the Tar Heels are 3-7 in Rupp Arena.
• Carolina is 26-18 against Kentucky. The 26 wins are the most by any non-SEC team against the Wildcats.
• The 67 points were the fewest by the Tar Heels in a win over Kentucky since a 64-55 win in Lexington on 12-13-1966 (this was UNC's 20th win in the series since that game).
• Kentucky's 64 points were the fewest allowed by Carolina in the series since a 61-56 UK victory at Rupp Arena on 1-3-2004.
• The Tar Heels had a season-high 20 offensive rebounds and a season-high 22 second-chance points.
• Caleb Wilson had his fifth double-double (15 and 12) and Henri Veesaar had a team-high 17 points and 10 rebounds.
• It was the third time this season Wilson and Veesaar both had double-doubles.
• This was the second time Veesaar led UNC in scoring (also St. Bonaventure).

• Veesaar tied his season high with four offensive rebounds.
• Derek Dixon gave Carolina a 64-62 lead with a three-pointer with 53 seconds to play, then drove for a layup with 16 seconds remaining to break a 64-all tie. Dixon's nine points match the season-high nine he scored against NC Central.
• Jarin Stevenson led UNC in plus/minus at plus 8. It was the thid time he has led UNC in plus/minus.
• Jonathan Powell tied his season high with two three-pointers.
• Carolina outrebounded the Wildcats, 41-30. The Tar Heels are 7-0 this season when they outrebound their opponent.
• The game featured a season-high 14 lead changes and a season-high nine ties. Previous highs were 10 lead changes vs. Michigan State and six ties vs. Kansas.
• The game was tied at 31 at halftime. It was the first time this season UNC was tied at the half.
• UNC's largest deficit was six several times. It was the second-largest deficit in a win this season (10 vs. Kansas).
• The Tar Heels are 2-1 in the ACC-SEC Challenge with wins over Tennessee and Kentucky.
• Hubert Davis is 108-46 in five seasons as head coach.
• This is the second time UNC has defeated Kansas and Kentucky in the same season. The Tar Heels defeated Kansas, 87-74, in Chapel Hill on November 7. The only other season when UNC beat both teams was in 1981-82. Carolina beat Kansas, 74-67, in Charlotte, on 11-28-1981 (Michael Jordan's first college game). Then on 12-26-1981, No. 1 UNC beat No. 2 Kentucky, 82-69 in the Meadowlands.
