Pietramala's Six Goals Fuels Men's Lacrosse Over No. 4 Johns Hopkins

BALTIMORE, Md. – Dominic Pietramala's six goal day fueled the ninth-ranked North Carolina lacrosse team over No. 4 Johns Hopkins, 13-12.
How It Happened
• The Tar Heels opened the game with three goals in the opening 60 seconds, courtesy of Owen Duffy, Dominic Pietramala, and Leif Hagerup.
• After back-to-back Johns Hopkins scores, Pietramala's two goals and a score from Duffy gave Carolina a 6-2 lead after the first quarter.
• Hopkins opened the second quarter with three-straight goals, trimming the Tar Heel lead to one, 6-5.
• Duffy responded with back-to-back goals, pushing the Carolina edge to 8-5 with 3:34 remaining in the half.
• Sean Crogan and Stuart Phillips hit the back of the net for the hosts, however the visiting Tar Heels held a one-goal lead entering the halftime break, 8-7.
• The Blue Jays outscored Carolina 3-2 in the third quarter, with Pietramala ripping back-to-back goals for the Tar Heels, tied at 10-all entering the fourth quarter.
• Carolina scored three goals in the fourth quarter, from Ryan Levy, Pietramala and Caden Harshbarger, holding on for the 13-12 win.
