Carolina Battles Back To Beat Clemson, 4-2

CLEMSON, S.C. -- In its first Atlantic Coast Conference match since its trip to Boston College a few weeks ago, the No. 5 North Carolina Tar Heels (12-3, 3-0 ACC) picked up its third-straight ACC victory after it defeated the No. 24 Clemson Tigers (10-4, 1-3 ACC), 4-2 at Clemson's Duckworth Family Tennis Facility on Friday night.
To begin the match, Carolina fell on courts one and two of doubles play to give Clemson the 1-0 advantage entering singles play. It marked the first time this season that the Tar Heels dropped the doubles point.
In singles play, the Tar Heels slowly began to battle back. On court five, Tatum Evans evened the match at one point a piece after she won, 6-2, 6-1. Then, on court one, Reese Brantmeier gave North Carolina its first lead of the day with a 6-1, 7-5 victory.
Next, on court two, Theadora Rabman inched the Tar Heels closer to victory with her own 6-3, 6-2 win. Then, on court four, Carson Tanguilig battled back after dropping her first set to win 1-6, 7-5, 6-1 in a third-set match-clinching win.
