Tar Heels 8th After 36 Holes At Sahalee

North Carolina shot 6-over-par 294 in both the first and second rounds in the Sahalee Players Championship Saturday at the Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish, Wash.
Sophomore Sihan Sandhu (72-74) and freshman Carson Bertagnole (75-71) led UNC at 2-over 146 to tie for 18th place after 36 holes.
Sophomore Misha Gold (73-74) is 3 over, senior Keaton Vo (74-76) is 6 over and graduate student Andrew Riley (76-75) is 7 over. Sophomore Grant Roscich (74-75) is 5 over playing as an individual entry.
Arizona State leads at 4-under 572, seven strokes ahead of Pepperdine. The Sun Devils shot 11 under par in the second round and are the only team in the field in red figures.
Three players – Pepperdine's Brady Siravo and Mahanth Chirravuri and ASU's Michael Mjaaseth – are tied for the individual lead at 3-under 141.
The third and final round is Sunday.
