Heels Wrap Up First Week Of Spring Scrimmages

Chapel Hill, NC--Â With threatening weather on the horizon, the North Carolina Tar Heels held a lengthy scrimmage on Thursday afternoon at Boshamer Stadium as they wrapped up their first week of Spring scrimmages.
Offensive Highlights:Â Macon Winslow, who had a double for the scrimmage's only extra-base hit, was 3-4 with one RBI and one run scored. AJ Terry went 2-4 with three RBI and one run scored. Gavin Gallaher was the only other player with multiple base hits as he went 2-4 with two RBI.
Pitching Highlights:Â The following eight pitchers all saw action: Jason DeCaro, Matthew Matthijs, Folger Boaz, Ryan Lynch, Jackson Rose, Caden Glauber, Camron Seagraves and Tom Chmielewski. Glauber gave up no runs in 2.1 innings while fanning four hitters. Chmielewski struck out three in his 3.0 innings. Matthijs tossed 2.0 scoreless innings, while Seagraves also tossed 2.0 scoreless innings.
Due to the uncertain weather next week, the next scrimmage is TBD.
