• This is the 49th season the Tar Heels have won 10 or more regular-season ACC games (the sixth season in a row and the fifth in as many seasons under head coach Hubert Davis).
• Carolina is 16-0 at home this season.
• Seth Trimble made a career-high 11 field goals and scored a career-high 30 points. It was his fourth career game with 20 or more points (third season). He broke his previous career scoring high of 27 against Dayton set on 11/25/2024 in Maui.
• Trimble was 11 for 16 from the floor. He was 11 for 34 combined in the previous four games.
• Trimble is the first Tar Heel to score at least 30 since RJ Davis had 30 against Dayton.
• Trimble has led UNC in scoring twice this season (the other was when he had 22 in a loss at SMU).
• Trimble also led the Tar Heels with four assists. It was the first time he led Carolina in assists this season and the first time since a an ACC Tournament win over Pitt on 3/15/2024.
• Carolina 12-3 this season and 35-11 in his career when Trimble scores in double figures.
• This was the third ACC game this season in the Smith Center decided by one possession (87-84 over Wake Forest, 71-68 over Duke and 77-74 over Louisville).
• Carolina shot better than 50% from the field for the second game in a row. The Tar Heels are 11-1 this season and 46-2 under Davis when they shoot 50% from the floor.
• The Tar Heels shot 60.7% from the floor in the first half. They shot 61.5% in the second half in the previous game at Syracuse. It was the first time UNC shot 60% in consecutive halves since the Tulane and Western Carolina games in 2017-18.
• Louisville led 23-13. It was the fourth time this season the Tar Heels trailed by double digits and won (trailed Kansas by 10, Virginia by 16, Duke by 13 and Louisville by 10).
• Carolina led by 24:07. It's the most the Tar Heels have led in a game this season that they also trailed by double digits. The previous high was 16:43 in the win over Kansas.
• It was the first time UNC went from trailing by 10 or more to leading by 10 or more since the win over Kansas on November 7.
• UNC held Louisville to 38.8% from the floor. It was the 28th straight time the Tar Heels won when holding the opponent under 40.0% from the floor.
• UNC shot a season-low 47.4% from the free throw line, the second game in a row UNC set a season low from the line.
• It was the first time UNC won when shooting under 50% from the line since beating Wake Forest on 2/16/2019 (UNC was 3 for 11 that game).
• All five Tar Heel starters shot at least 50% from the floor for the first time this season.
• Henri Veesaar was a game-high plus 16. It was the eighth time this season he led UNC in plus/minus, the most games led on the team. He scored 12 points, the 25th time in 26 games he has scored in double figures.
• Zayden High had a career-high three assists.
• Derek Dixon made two three-pointers, his first game with multiple threes since Duke on February 7.
• Kyan Evans was plus 10, hit a three and had three assists and no turnovers.
• Carolina had 40 paint points. It was the second game in a row it scored 40 or more. UNC is 8-0 this season when it scores at least 40 paint points.
• The Tar Heels are 21-8 all-time against the Cardinals, including 7-1 in the Smith Center and 5-1 under Davis.
• Louisville made 14 three-pointers, most allowed by the Tar Heels since Cal hit 14 on January 17 in Berkeley.
• It was the most three-pointers by an opponent in a Tar Heel victory since Wake Forest made 14 on January 10.
• Louisville entered the game forcing 12.3 turnovers per game. The Tar Heels committed nine, the 12th time this season UNC turned it over fewer than 10 times.
