Heels Begin Final Week Of Scrimmages

Chapel Hill, NC--Â The North Carolina Tar Heels began their final week of scrimmages with an eight-inning scrimmage on Tuesday afternoon at Boshamer Stadium.Â
Offensive Highlights:Â Michael Maginnis was 3-4 with one RBI and two runs scored. The two catchers each had big days at bat. Colin Hynek was 2-3 with five RBI and one run scored. Hynek ripped a 396-foot homer to left-center as well as a double. Macon Winslow was 2-2 with three RBI and two runs scored. Winslow also had a 367-foot, three-run homer to left to go along with a double.
Jadyn Nunez was 2-3 with one RBI, while Lee Sowers went 2-4 with two runs scored. AJ Terry was the other player with multiple base hits as he was 2-5 with one RBI and one run scored.
Pitching Highlights:Â The following eleven pitchers threw: Tom Chmieleswki, Kyle Percival, Jackson Rose, Tim Lawson, Walker McDuffie, Matthew Matthijs, Camron Seagraves, Riley Leatherman, Justin Mabe, Jake Cackovic, and Andrew Wallen. All but Chmielewski threw approximately one inning apiece.,
Lawson retired all four batters he faced. Percival and Matthijs each threw a 1-2-3 inning.Â
The Tar Heels will next scrimmage on Friday.
