2025 Season: Notched a third-place finish at the 2025 October North American Cup in the Junior Men's Sabre division... Made his college debut by notching two wins against Duke... Swept Wayne State and Cleveland State while winning two bouts as Carolina took down No. 5 Ohio State as a team at the Elite Invitational... Posted a 6-1 record at the JHU Invite... Notched a 2-0 record against No. 10 Penn State and swept Wagner at the Brian Palestis Memorial Invitational... Won a bout against Air Force at the Beguinet Classic...Fenced at the ACC Championships in both the individual and team competition... Finished sixth at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional in men's sabre... Tied for third at the 2026 April North American Cup in the Junior Men's Sabre Divison...

Made the German Cadet world travel team winning multiple team events in Germany and Hungary from 2022-23... Played basketball in high school.

From Beaverton, Ore… Parents are Viktor Atanassov and Anna Angelova-Atanassov… Mother was a 1996 Olympian for Bulgaria and was named Fencer of the Year in 1997.
