2024 (Graduate): Appeared in 13 contests for the Tar Heels at long-stick midfielder and in the defensive midfield • Recorded a ground ball in four contests • Scored a goal and added a ground ball in the win at Hofstra (3/9) • Voted a team captain prior to the season for the second-straight year • USILA Scholar All-America • Earned a spot on the All-ACC Academic Team • Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll
2023 (Senior): Appeared in all 14 games for North Carolina at the defensive midfield • Collected nine ground balls and caused five turnovers on the season • Dished out an assist in the Tar Heel victory against Providence (3/25) • Had two ground balls in back-to-back wins against High Point (3/22) and Providence (3/25) • Had a season-high two caused turnovers in the victory at Syracuse (2/25) • Voted a team captain prior to the season • Awarded the Atlantic Coast Conference's Top Six For Service Award • Named to the All-ACC Academic Team • Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll
2022 (Junior): Played in all 14 games for the Tar Heels at defensive midfielder • Collected 18 ground balls and tied for second on the team in caused turnovers with eight • On the offensive side he scored three goals and added one assist • Scored a goal in the season opening game versus Richmond (3/11) • Scored a goal, picked up three ground balls, and two caused turnovers against Denver (3/5) • Notched a goal with one ground ball versus Syracuse • Earned his only assist in the season finale against Duke (5/1) • Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll
2021 (Sophomore): Appeared in all 16 games with 15 ground balls, seven caused turnovers, and one assist • Picked up two ground balls and an assist against High Point • Notched a season-high three ground balls against Notre Dame • Caused two turnovers in the NCAA Final Four versus Virginia
2020 (Freshman): Appeared in all seven games as a defensive midfielder, totaling two points, four ground balls and two caused turnovers • Opened his collegiate career with two ground balls and a caused turnover • Scored a goal in back-to-back games against Mercer and Lafayette while adding a ground ball in the former and a caused turnover in the latter • Had one more ground ball at Johns Hopkins • Remainder of season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Prep: Attended Loyola Blakefield High School in Towson, Md. where he played for Ben Rubeor and Gene Ubriaco • Played club lacrosse for FCA Maryland under coaches Travis Crane and Dan Mulford • Two-time Under Armour Underclass All-American • Member of two Under Armour Underclass Championship teams • Also won the 2016 Under-16 National Championship • All-MIAA.
Personal: Alexander Timothy Breschi is the son of Chuck and Kelly Breschi • Born September 21 in Baltimore, Md. • Has a younger sister, Grace • Plans to major in journalism • Father, Chuck, played lacrosse at UNC from 1990-94 and is the cousin of North Carolina head coach Joe Breschi.
