Cole Haverty, 6-1, 200 pounds
Breschi on Haverty: Cole Haverty was injured in the fall but he will step back in a compete for us at a defensive midfield spot…runs the field well.
Cole Haverty got a lot of runs last year…I think this year is a big year for him…he can be a major contributor…he had a very good fall…another tremendous athlete who can run the field…he can see his confidence improve every time he is on the field.
2018 (Junior): Played in 11 games as one of Carolina’s top short-stick defensive midfielders…had five ground balls, including season high two versus Furman…scored his only goal of the season in 10-9 comeback win against Notre Dame…earned honors on 2018-19 ACC Academic Honor Roll.
2017 (Sophomore): Played in 15 games, missing only contest at Furman…had two ground balls…named to 2016-17 ACC Academic Honor Roll.
2016 (Freshman): Played in two games for Tar Heels, seeing action against Manhattan and Maryland...scored his first career goal in win over Manhattan...qualified for Dean’s List in fall 2015...designated for ACC Academic Honor Roll.
High School: Graduated from the Westminster Schools in Atlanta where he was coached by Tony Souza...four-year starter there and captain of the team...first-team All-State selection...member of 2013 and 2015 Georgia state championship squads...played on LaxPower’s #1-ranked team in the South in 2015...played club lacrosse for FCA South, Georgia Thunder and Atlanta Shockers...a three-year football starter...All-Region football honoree...three-year member of the men’s A cappella group...member of discipline council...honor roll student...PRUMC two-time champion.

My favorite thing about wearing Carolina Blue is fulfilling the tradition of those who came before me.
I love competing for this incredible coaching staff because of their real dedication to the program.
My most underrated strength about my lacrosse game is my offense.
My best friend on my high school lacrosse team was Charlie Trense and he is now playing at Notre Dame.
Every high school recruit should dream of becoming a Tar Heel because of the tradition.
Section #2: Your Interests
An ideal Saturday afternoon in the summer is spent playing pick up basketball with friends.
My teammate with the best taste in music is OC because he appreciates a little country.
My favorite professional sports team is the Atlanta Falcons.
The best movie I’ve ever seen on a lacrosse bus trip is Zootopia.
The foreign country I would love to visit most is Singapore because I want to visit my brother.
Section #3: Food
My favorite tailgate foods are bacon cheeseburgers and Dr. Pepper.
My favorite fast food restaurant is Chick-Fil-A because of the sauce.
Sweet, salty or both? Both. Sweet and Salty Nature Valley bars.
My favorite food made by a relative is Mom’s turkey grilled cheese.
My favorite Chapel Hill dining spot is IP3 .

If I possessed the gift of time travel, I would go to the future. We already know the past.
The person in history I would most want to have dinner with is Leonardo da Vinci.
People would be very surprised to know I like to sing.
In a quarter century I would love to be living in NYC, Atlanta or DC and working at a family RE investment firm.
The most interesting or fascinating person I’ve met in my time at UNC is my Sally Mack because she just loves everyone.
