"Eddie's done a great job moving from attack to midfield. He'd been going back and forth but now he's at midfield and doing a great job there. He's high energy, really excitable, practices so hard. He's really been working on his game and the guys looked up to him as one of the leaders this past fall. I think he's going to make an impact for us especially on the invert aspect of our offense."
2010 (Junior): Played in 12 games for the Tar Heels, starting the year in the attack and finishing up as a midfielder...played in 12 games...had a goal and an assist and one ground ball...had the first goal of his career against Princeton and it proved to be a big one as the Tar Heels held off the Tigers 12-11...assisted on a goal in UNC's win over Robert Morris.
Junior College: Graduated from Onondaga Community College in 2009 where he was coached in lacrosse by Chuck Wilbur...a two-time first-team junior college All-America on the field as well as a two-time JUCO Academic All-America choice...2008 National Junior College Player of the Year...was JUCO's National Attackman of the Year in 2008 and National Midfielder of the Year in 2009...Onondaga's team MVP in both 2008 and 2009...JUCO Region III Attackman of the Year in 2008 and Midfielder of the Year in 2009...led Onondaga to the 2009 national championship and an undefeated season...played on teams which won a pair of JUCO Region III champions and two Mid-State Conference championships...led Onondaga to a 32-2 record in his two years there.
Prep: Graduated from Immaculate Heart Central High School in 2007...coached in lacrosse there by Mike Shepis...played three years of lacrosse and two years of football in high school... on the lacrosse field, he was named a three-time All-Section honoree and he was a three-time Frontier League All-Star...was selected to play in the New York Section III Senior All-Star Game...played on some outstanding lacrosse teams at Immaculate Heart...the squad was a three-time Section III semifinalist and he also competed on two Frontier League championship units. Community Service & Leadership: Volunteers with Habitat for Humanity...also works at local lacrosse camps in upstate New York.
Personal: Edward Bernard Prevost is the son of Ed and Janet Prevost...was born on January 17, 1989 in Watertown, N.Y. ...has one brother, Tyler, 19, and one sister, Jen, 26...communication studies major.

1. My favorite thing about wearing the Carolina Blue is the color.
2. I love competing for this incredible coaching staff because they work harder than any coaching staff in the country.
3. My most underrated strength about my lacrosse game is my uncanny ability to throw behind the backs.
4. My best friend on my high school lacrosse team was Mike Jeschawitz.
5. Every high school recruit should dream of becoming a Tar Heel because it's heaven on Earth.
Section #2 (Ed's Interests)
1. An ideal Saturday afternoon in the summer is spent playing wall ball.
2. My teammate with the best taste in music is Billy Bitter because he's the DJ.
3. My favorite professional sports team is the Buffalo Bills.
4. The best movie I've ever seen on a lacrosse bus trip is Last of the Mohicans.
5. The foreign country I would love to visit the most is Canada because it's an ideal vacation spot.
Section #3 (Food)
1. My favorite tailgate foods and beverages are wings, clams, pulled pork and sweet tea.
2. My favorite fast food restaurant is none because I don't eat fast food.
3. Sweet, salty or both? Sweet. I love candy.
4. My favorite food made by a relative is my Aunt Judy's homemade ice cream cakes.
5. My favorite Chapel Hill dining spot is Jimmy Johns.

1. If I possessed the gift of time travel, I would go to Memorial Day weekend 2011.
2. The person in history I would most want to have dinner with is Ralph Waldo Emerson.
3. People would be very surprised to know I sleep on air.
4. In a quarter century I would love to be living in Auckland, New Zealand and working at not working.
5. The most interesting or fascinating person I've met in my time at UNC is Coach Holman because he has so much knowledge, not just about lacrosse, but about life. I'm trying to absorb as much as possible from him.
