General: A three-year letter winner in the Tar Heels' deep defensive corps...will provide strong play and veteran leadership for the close defense unit this year...has a great opportunity to take over one of the starting spots on close defense...will be key in introducing a talented freshman class to the ways of Carolina lacrosse...saw his playing time increase significantly as a sophomore as he became a mainstay on UNC's man-down defensive unit...continued his stellar play on the man-down unit as a junior...was a strong addition to the Tar Heels' defensive corps when he came to UNC in 2002.
2004 Season: Played in 14 of the Tar Heels' 15 games...missed getting on the field only in the Maryland game...always one of the first off the Carolina bench...found his niche in man-down situation...picked up a career-best two ground balls in win over Limestone.
2003 Season: Increased his playing time significantly as he saw action in all 13 games of the season for the Tar Heels...saw most of his action on the man-down unit but was also one of the first men off the bench as a sub on the close defense.
2002 Season: Saw action in six games as a freshman playing primarily on UNC's man-down defense...joined that unit for the last four games of the season.
Prep: A 2001 graduate of Boys' Latin School of Maryland...played three years on the varsity lacrosse team and one year of junior varsity lacrosse as a defenseman, captaining the Lakers' team as a senior...also played three years of varsity soccer and two years of junior varsity soccer at center halfback, captaining that squad for two seasons...two-time second-team All-Metro selection by the Baltimore Sun on the lacrosse field...was named to the Bay State All-Star Team in lacrosse...was All-County first team selection as a junior and and a senior...second team All-State selection in lacrosse...was named first-team All-MIAA B Conference in soccer twice...captained soccer team as a junior and a senior...two-time first-team All-City selection in soccer...won the school's Yale Scholarship for history...won the school's award as the most respected student as given by the faculty.
