"Kevin's really worked hard to be a contributor last spring. I think we've worked on slowing him down a little bit, getting him to play good sound position defense. He's got a great stick. He's a tough kid and I think he's one of those guys who is going to be a major contributor for us on the defensive end as a position guy. We're trying to cut back the takeaway aspect of things for him and keep it simpler. I think it's better for his game."
2010 (Junior): Played a larger role in the close defense for the Tar Heels as he was the top backup off the bench and also started a pair of contests...played in 16 games overall and earned starts versus Robert Morris and Ohio State...assisted on a key third quarter goal by Marcus Holman in UNC's 14-13 NCAA Tournament first round win over Delaware...had seven ground balls and seven caused turnovers on the season...had a season-high two ground balls versus Jacksonville and two caused turnovers against Bryant and Lehigh.
2009 (Sophomore): Played in 15 games as a reserve defenseman in 2009...had two ground balls and two caused turnovers...had one ground ball and one caused turnover in the win over Robert Morris.
2008 (Freshman): Played in six games as a freshman...named to the 2007-08 ACC Academic Honor Roll.
Community Service & Leadership: Member since 2008 of the board of directors of the Michael Piegare Foundation, honoring his late brother...graduate of Rising Star program in the Carolina Leadership Academy in 2008-09...volunteer at UNC football games with Carolina Dreams...also participated in building a local house for Habitat For Humanity...volunteer with the Kid's Cart project at UNC Children's Hospital...has done community service at Chapel Hill Ronald McDonald House...vice president of Locks of Love organization in high school...an autistic child mentor...three-time ACC Academic Honor Roll...member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

1. My favorite thing about wearing the Carolina Blue is that we look better than everyone else.
2. I love competing for this incredible coaching staff because they bleed Carolina Blue.
3. My most underrated strength about my lacrosse game is I throw a very "rusty" gate.
4. My best friend on my high school lacrosse team was Guy German.
5. Every high school recruit should dream of becoming a Tar Heel because this is the best place on Earth.

1. An ideal Saturday afternoon in the summer is spent on a boat patrolling the beautiful Cold Spring Harbor scenery.
2. My teammate with the best taste in music is Billy Benz Bitter because he knows what he's doing.
3. My favorite professional sports team is the New York Yankees.
4. The best movie I've ever seen on a lacrosse bus trip is Old School.
5. The foreign country I would love to visit the most is Australia because I want to see a kangaroo.

1. My favorite tailgate foods and beverages are everything on the buffet line washed down with a cold blue Gatorade.
2. My favorite fast food restaurant is McDonalds because of McDonalds breakfast.

1. If I possessed the gift of time travel, I would go to Super Bowl XLII in Glendale, Ariz., where the New York Giants took down the New England Patriots.
2. The person in history I would most want to have dinner with is Hunter S. Thompson.
3. People would be very surprised to know I can blow bubbles with my tongue.
4. In a quarter century I would love to be living in my condo in West Palm Beach, Fla., working as the club golf pro.
5. The most interesting or fascinating people I've met in my time at UNC are the Hunt brothers because they all bring something unique to the table.
