• The most improved player on our team last year.
• Pat's obviously a big strong kid.
• He doesn't get phased by the challenge of playing attack or midfield and can switch back and forth easily within a game.
• A savvy player. He's got a deceptive, quick first step with a very shifty stick and great vision as well.
• He's tremendous off ball, makes himself a big target.
General: A powerful 6-3, 205-pound midfielder...a returning letterman who can also be employed as an attackman.
2011 (Freshman): Won the Kevin Reichardt Memorial Award as the most improved player on the 2011 UNC lacrosse team...started both on attack and in the midfield as a freshman...played in all 16 games and started six contests, including the last five games of the season...finished the season with 17 points on 15 goals and two assists...had six ground balls...scored on 50 percent of his shots, leading all offensive players on the team in that category...had the eventual game-winning goal with 1:51 left in the third quarter in a 10-8 win over Navy on February 25...came back the next game and had two goals in the win over UMBC...had a goal and an assist versus Dartmouth...earned his first career start at Maryland and had three goals and an assist for a season-high four points in an 11-6 win over the Terps...had three goals in the win at Lehigh...scored twice against Notre Dame, including the game-winning overtime goal 1:03 into the extra period...he was the first Tar Heel freshman to score a game-winning overtime goal since Corey Gavitt against Duke in 1986.
Prep: A 2010 Under Armour All-America selection...was an outstanding attackman at the Boys' Latin School in Baltimore...coached there by Bob Shriver...second-team All-Metro selection as a senior...led Boys' Latin to MIAA championship game appearance his senior year...leading goal scorer on the team as a junior...No. 20 Inside Lacrosse Young Gun Rising Senior...won Boys Latin's A. Mason Lebraun Award as school's outstanding junior athlete...named All-Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association in volleyball as a junior...led his freshman lacrosse team to an 18-0 mark...Dean's List student...MVP of Vail Shootout...played for the highly successful Baltimore Crabs Lacrosse Club which won numerous tournaments when he played for them, including the 2010 Vail Shootout...received academic honors awards throughout high school...student body blood drive representative...did 40 hours of community service throughout high school.
