General: Three-year returning letter winner in the Tar Heels’ midfield unit...also one of the team’s top faceoff men.
2000 Season: Played in 13 games for the Tar Heels as a junior...won a season high four faceoffs in the win over Navy.
1999 Season: Saw increased playing time as a sophomore, seeing action in 11 games...won 40 of 70 faceoffs for a percentage of .571, the best on the team...recorded the first points of his Tar Heel career as he scored a goal and had an assist in the win at Air Force...won 11 of 16 faceoffs against Colgate...was also over 50 percent in the faceoff circle against Butler, Penn, Air Force and UMBC.
1998 Season: Played in four games...saw action against Navy, Princeton, Dartmouth and Stony Brook...had one shot on goal against Stony Brook...won three of nine faceoffs on the season...took five of those faceoffs against Dartmouth.
Prep: Graduated from Garden City High School on June 27, 1997...played varsity lacrosse three years...captain of the Garden City team as a senior when it won the county, Long Island and state championships...team MVP as a senior...selected for the all-county team as a junior and senior...was also selected as a player to watch in Face-Off ‘97 magazine...was an honor student for four straight years at GCHS...was selected as the school’s scholar athlete his junior year.
