Ryan O’Connor
Breschi on O’Connor: A great story…was on the verge of not playing anymore and signing the papers to never play again as a medical non-counter after missing his first two seasons here due to injuries…he’s back on the field and played in the fall scrimmage…a tough competitor…four knee operations later he’s on the practice field and on the playing field…he’s a great inspiration to so many of us.
High School: Attended Paul IV High School in Fairfax, Va., from 2011-15 ...coached there by Bob Waters....two-time lacrosse and football team captain there...named All-State twice…second-team All-WCAC selection...attended National High School Showcase where he was named MVP...played club for Virginia Lacrosse Club...president of Catholic Athletes for Christ...in high school he was a part of the options program which works one-on-one with mentally challenged students.
Personal: Full name is Ryan James O’Connor...son of Sean O’Connor and Lori O’Connor...was born April 2, 1997 in Bethesda, Md. ...has two brothers, Patrick, 21, and Charlie, 15...communication studies major…attended a mission trip in Haiti…participates in UNC Pen Pal program.

My favorite thing about wearing Carolina Blue is the tradition of greatness.
I love competing for this incredible coaching staff because they push you to be the best version of yourself on and off the field.
My most underrated strength about my lacrosse game is my left.
My best friend on my high school lacrosse team was Ryan Lamb and he is now playing at the University of Virginia.
Every high school recruit should dream of becoming a Tar Heel because of the family atmosphere.
Section #2: Your Interests
An ideal Saturday afternoon in the summer is spent at the beach.
My teammate with the best taste in music is Charles Kelly because he has good vibes.
My favorite professional sports team is the Green Bay Packers.
The best movie I’ve ever seen on a lacrosse bus trip is Saving Private Ryan.
The foreign country I would love to visit most is Australia.

My favorite tailgate foods are Buffalo wings and Dr. Pepper.
My favorite fast food restaurant is Chipotle beacuse it is unmatched.
Sweet, salty or both? Both.
My favorite food made by a relative is my great Aunt Pearl’s apple pie.
My favorite Chapel Hill dining spot is Lucha Tigre.

If I possessed the gift of time travel, I would go back to New York City in the 1980s.
The person in history I would most want to have dinner with is Steve Irwin.
People would be very surprised to know I a an Eagle Scout.
In a quarter century I would love to be living in Coronado, Calif.
The most interesting person I’ve met in my time at UNC is Bonesaw because of his unique sayings.
