Breschi on O’Connor: A great story…was on the verge of not playing anymore and signing the papers to never play again as a medical non-counter after missing his first two seasons here due to injuries…he’s back on the field and played in the fall scrimmage…a tough competitor…four knee operations later he’s on the practice field and on the playing field…he’s a great inspiration to so many of us.
High School: Attended Paul IV High School in Fairfax, Va., from 2011-15 ...coached there by Bob Waters....two-time lacrosse and football team captain there...named All-State twice…second-team All-WCAC selection...attended National High School Showcase where he was named MVP...played club for Virginia Lacrosse Club...president of Catholic Athletes for Christ...in high school he was a part of the options program which works one-on-one with mentally challenged students.
Personal: Full name is Ryan James O’Connor...son of Sean O’Connor and Lori O’Connor...was born April 2, 1997 in Bethesda, Md. ...has two brothers, Patrick, 21, and Charlie, 15...communication studies major…attended a mission trip in Haiti…participates in UNC Pen Pal program.

My favorite thing about wearing Carolina Blue is the tradition of greatness.
I love competing for this incredible coaching staff because they push you to be the best version of yourself on and off the field.
My most underrated strength about my lacrosse game is my left.
