In 1998: Member of the distance medley relay team, which won at the Virginia Tech Invitational (9:58.72) and finished second at the ACC Championships (9:58.65) ... Was first on the team in the indoor 800m with a time of 1:54.36 (10th) at the Virginia Tech Invitational ... Was first on the team in the outdoor 800m (1:55.07) with his seventh place finish at the USTCA Cup.
In 1997: Ran much better in the outdoor season ... Participated mostly in the 400m and 800m races ... Finished fourth in the 800m at the ACC Outdoor Championships in a time of 1:52.19 ... Ran a leg of the 4x400m relay team that advanced to the NCAA Outdoor Championships which finished eighth in 3:06.85 and earned All-America honors.
