 Junior Season: Led team in kills with 405 for a 3.58 per game average  Named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference Second Team for the second consecutive season  MVP of both the GlaxoSmithKline UNC Volleyball Classic and Jayhawk Classic as the Tar Heels swept both tournaments  Received honorable mention status in the East Region from the American Volleyball Coaches Association  Named the 2003 team's co-MVP with Aletha Green  Selected to the Gamecock Classic's All-Tournament team  Second on team in digs with 3.32 per game average  Tied for team lead in service aces with 30 and third on team in blocks with 47  Career high 29 digs against Virginia on 11/8  Also had 21 kills in that match  Recorded 23 kills and 17 digs in 3-2 win at Clemson on 10/25  Had 15 kills and 20 digs in 3-2 win over Maryland on 11/7  Had 12 double-doubles on the season  Selected as the team captain for the 2004 season along with Katie Wright. 
Sophomore Season: Appeared in 119 games and 35 of 36 matches  Named Second-Team All-ACC and was an East Region Honorable Mention selection by the AVCA  Named ACC Player of the Week for 10/14  Eighth in the ACC and second on the team with 3.50 kills per game  Ninth in the ACC and third on the team with 3.03 digs per game  Led all left-side hitters with a .243 hitting percentage  Recorded 13 double-doubles, including a match of 23 kills and a season-high 27 digs vs. Clemson on 11/1  Recorded double-digit kills and hit more than .300 in 12 matches  Hit a season-high .500 (13-1-24) vs. Wake Forest 10/11 with 13 kills and 11 digs  Recorded as season-high 25 kills vs. Wake Forest 11/9  In the second round of the NCAA Tournament, recorded 23 kills and 13 digs while hitting .478 vs. South Carolina.
Freshman Season: Named to the ACC All-Freshman Team  Played in 90 games and all 33 matches  Was fifth on the squad in kills per game with 1.58  Second among Tar Heel freshmen in digs per game with 1.70  Posted a double-double of 11 kills and 15 digs vs. South Carolina on 11/25  Totaled a season-high 13 kills against William & Mary on 9/16.
Prep: Led Hendersonville High School to four-consecutive North Carolina state titles, being named individual MVP on each occasion  Named the North Carolina High School Athletic Association Athlete of the Year  Was a two-time Gatorade Player of the Year  Named Asheville Citizen- Times Player of the Year  Was a member of the Biltmore Volleyball Club that won the 18's Peachtree Classic  Named to the All- Region team three times as a member of the Biltmore VBC  Played four years at center and forward on the Hendersonville girl's basketball team  Also ran track for three years in high school  Was vice-president of her high school's National Honor Society  Named a four-time Scholar Athlete Award winner.
Personal: Majoring in psychology  Lists "The DaVinci Code" as her favorite book and Mexican cheese dip as her favorite food  Molly's father, Jerry, played basketball at Georgetown  Her sister Amy played volleyball at Wake Forest and her sister Beth played volleyball at Furman  Molly Dove Pyles is the daughter of Jerry and Ann Pyles  Born on 1/31/83 in Hendersonville, N.C.
