Jane High is in her 12th year with the Carolina women’s basketball program. Her many duties include being the voice on the phone when you call, overseeing expense reports, assisting in eligibility and recruiting, scheduling appointments for Coach Hatchell, organizing the annual family picnic and the end of the season team banquet. High has lived in Chapel Hill for over 30 years and served as a teacher at Cresset Christian Academy. Her husband, Dan, has retired from the dental laboratory business that he established in Chapel Hill for 30 years. They have now relocated back to their roots in Creedmoor, N.C.

The High family has been longtime Tar Heel fans and all three of their children received their education from the UNC system. Their children include: Angela, a contract and grants manager for the Department of Radiology at UNC; Bryan, a financial analyst; and Laura, a former athletic trainer and teacher who is now a homemaker. Bryan is a UNC grad and he played on the JV basketball team during his time in school here. Their life would not be complete without the mention of their granddaughters, Lauren and Ella Jane, and grandson, Samuel and Rowan.
