Jayme Mitchell joined the UNC Athletic Support Program as an intern in the summer of 2006. She serves as an academic counselor, working directly with the fencing and rowing teams, and also assists with the tutorial program.
Mitchell graduated from UNC in 2005 with a degree in psychology and currently is working toward a master's of education in psychology from Springfield College.
Prior to returning to her alma mater, she served as an athletic counselor at Springfield College and at Western New England College. At Springfield, she also was the head coach of the JV women's volleyball team and an assistant coach of the men's volleyball team.
At UNC, Mitchell was a four-year letterwinner on the Tar Heel volleyball team.
