The University of North Carolina will be without at least two defensive starters when the Tar Heels face Furman on Saturday at Kenan Stadium. Safety Quinton Savage (sick) and cornerback Anthony Anderson (mild concussion) will both miss Saturday's contest.
Junior David Bomar and freshman Kevin Knight will make their first career starts at safety and cornerback, respectively.
Antwon Black, who led Carolina in rushing and passing yards at Maryland last week, missed his third straight practice with flu-like symptoms and is very doubtful for the contest.
lack has improved each day, but was still unable to practice today. He did practice on Monday.
Freshman tailback Daniel Davis has practiced the last two days and will be available to play against the 6-1 Paladins.
