Men's Golf To Compete in Rolex Team Championships

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. --- North Carolina's men's golf team is one of eight teams that has been selected to participate in the Third Annual Rolex National Intercollegiate Match Play Team Championships. This year's event will be played Nov. 1-2 at the Indian River Club in Vero each, Fla., a par 72, 6,608-yard layout.
The first-round pairings have the teams matched as follows: Georgia (ranked #1) vs. Arizona (#15), Arizona State (#7) vs. Texas Christian (#8), Houston (#6) vs. South Carolina (#12) and Clemson (#3) vs. North Carolina (#13). The five members of each team will play singles matches against their opponents to determine the winning team. The winners will advance to the championship bracket while the losing teams will go into a consolation bracket. Each team is guaranteed three matches.
