Undefeated Tar Heels Jump to Ninth in Collegiate Baseball Poll

Fresh off two wins over Penn State on Sunday, the University of North Carolina baseball team jumped to No. 9 in Collegiate Baseball's weekly NCAA Division I Baseball Poll. Carolina, 6-0, had been ranked No. 20 by that publication in the preseason. The Tar Heels remain No. 20 in Baseball America's Top 25.
Carolina travels to Los Angeles this weekend to face the UCLA Bruins (6-1), ranked No. 2 in both major polls, at Jackie Robinson Stadium. The two teams square off Friday at 5 p.m. PT and Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. PT.
