University of North Carolina Head Coach Bill Guthridge on obby Cremins' Retirement Announcement, Feb. 18, 2000:
"Bobby has certainly been a credit to the coaching profession and has been very well thought of by his peers. College basketball will not be the same without him."
Dean Smith:
"I am disappointed that Coach Cremins chose to retire at a relatively young age as we need him in the field of college coaching. He did an unbelievable job building the Georgia Tech basketball program from rock bottom to a national contender for many years. He has my highest respect and best wishes."
