UNC Gymnastics Finishes Fifth At Wolfpack Invitational

Chapel Hill, N.C. - The UNC gymnastics team finished fifth in the overall competition at the Wolfpack Invitational in Raleigh, N.C. with a total of 193.450 points Saturday. N.C. State won the meet with 197.725 points.
The Tar Heels' Brooke Wilson totaled 38.525 points in the all-around competition, with her highest score coming in the bars, where she earned a 9.850. Wilson also led the Tar Heels in the vault (9.825), while seniors Megan Piper and Erica Roberts each earned a 9.8 on the beam and sophomore Lisa Companioni scored a 9.825 on the floor. N.C. State's Kara Charles won the individual all-around competition with a score of 39.475.
The Tar Heels will now move on to the EAGL Championships, which will be held in Pittsburgh, Pa. on March 18th.
