Barksdale, Teasley Earn All-ACC Honors

LaQuanda Barksdale and Nikki Teasley both have earned All-Atlantic Coast Conference postseason honors, as selected by the Atlantic Coast Sports Writers Association.
Barksdale, a junior forward who leads the conference in scoring and rebounding, earned a spot on the first team. She was a third-team pick last season and this year is averaging 17.4 points and 8.5 rebounds.
Teasley, a junior guard, was named to the third team. She is averaging 14.4 points per game, second on the UNC team, and has been named ACC Player of the Week in two of the past three weeks.
The Tar Heels, which finished regular-season play 16-11 overall, 8-8 in the ACC, begin ACC Tournament play at the Greensboro Coliseum on Saturday. Fifth-seeded Carolina faces fourth-seeded Clemson at 1 p.m.
