UNC's Harris Finishes Second At The Schenkel E-Z-GO Invite

STATESBORO, Ga. - After completing the final 18 holes with a two-under 70 on Sunday, North Carolina senior Max Harris finished alone in second place individually as the Tar Heels finished in 10th place with a 873 total at the 2000 Schenkel E-Z-GO Invitational held at the Forest Heights Country Club. The defending national champion and currently seventh-ranked Georgia Bulldogs dominated the field finishing with a 829 and 17 stroke victory over second place Clemson at 846. N.C. State finished in third place with a 852, while the University of Florida ended tied for fourth overall with Duke University shooting an 861.third place with at 571, 15-under.
Georgia golfer Bubba Watson won individual honors with a 13-under total of 203. North Carolina's Max Harris finished two strokes back with an 11-under 205. Finishing out the top three was Georgia's Nick Cassini who finished four shots off the pace with a 9-under 207.
Also competing for the Tar Heels were Rob Simmons (73-73-80), Ted Haley (74-73-74), Paul Daniel (78-72-75) and Brad Hyler (78-74-76).
