University of North Carolina Director of Athletics Dick Baddour and Head Men's Basketball Coach Matt Doherty issued the following statements today in regards to Jason Parker's enrollment at UNC:

"Due to the Family Rights and Privacy Act, the University will not be able to disclose any of the details regarding Jason Parker's situation," says Director of Athletics Dick Baddour. "We will only be able to acknowledge that Jason will not be enrolling at the University of North Carolina. Our basketball staff is extremely disappointed because Jason is a nice young man. We wish him the best in his future academic and athletic experiences."

"Jason worked hard this past year to put himself in a position to attend the University of North Carolina, so it's unfortunate things have not worked out for him," says head coach Matt Doherty. "We were looking forward to Jason being a part of our program."
