BALTIMORE, MD. - The North Carolina men's lacrosse team improved from 18th to 14th in this week's Warrior/Inside Lacrosse.com poll after its victory over Virginia last Saturday. The following is the Warrior / InsideLacrosse.com Division I Men's Lacrosse Media Poll for April 9, 2001.
Syracuse lost its grip on the top spot when it fell to Loyola, 14-13 in overtime. Massachusetts climbed to its best position of the season, and is the only ranked team that's still undefeated. And Towson crept into the top 10 after a win over America East rival Hofstra.
The Tar Heels will be back in action again this Saturday when they play at #15 UMBC.
