Pairings for the 2001 Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Lacrosse Championship were released by the ACC Office Monday morning.
North Carolina has earned the #3 seed and will play second-seeded Duke Friday night at 8,30 p.m. in the first round at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Fla. The initial game in the first round on Friday night will match #1 seed Maryland against #4 seed Virginia at 6 p.m.
UNC also has a chance to win back 1.5 points in the Carlyle Cup competition, which Duke currently leads, 20-17.
The first round winners will play for the conference championship on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
