Teasley Leads Tar Heels Past Tennessee-Martin, 90-67

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) - Nikki Teasley scored 18 points to lead No. 17 North Carolina over Tennessee-Martin 90-67 on Monday night.
Candace Sutton scored 10 of her 11 points in the first half, and Coretta rown also had 11 points for North Carolina (13-2).
Kelly Pendleton made 7-of-12 3-point attempts and scored 26 points for Tennessee-Martin (2-10). Tiffany Brundige shot 3-of-4 from 3-point range and added 13 points.
Sutton scored 10 points in the first 7:37 as the Tar Heels took a 53-32 halftime lead.
Teasley scored seven straight points in a 61-second span midway through the second half, helping North Carolina take its biggest lead, 86-51.
The Tar Heels led the entire game, scoring the first 15 points by hitting hit five of their first six shots - including three 3-pointers. The margin grew to 46-17 in the first half on layup by Jennifer Thomas with 5:02 left.
Leah Metcalf added 10 points, while Chrystal Baptist had nine points and 11 rebounds for North Carolina, which outrebounded Tennessee-Martin 49-35.
