Men's Lacrosse Plays First Road Game Saturday

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The North Carolina men's lacrosse team left early Friday morning to make the nine-hour bus trip to Lewisburg, Pa. where the Tar Heels will play their first road game of the 2002 season on Saturday against Bucknell. Game time is 1 p.m.
The Bison are the defending Patriot League Conference champions and they earned their first ever NCAA Tournament berth last season. A year ago the two teams met at Loyola College in Baltimore where Bucknell put a hurting on the Tar Heels 9-4.
Saturday's game will be the season opener for Bucknell while the Tar Heels played their lidlifter last Saturday at home, a thrilling 13-12 triple overtime victory over Ohio State.
Following the Bucknell game the Tar Heels have a three-match homestand meeting Navy March 2 at 1 p.m., Delaware March 9 at 1 p.m. and Denver March 17 at 1 p.m.
