North Carolina Announces 2003 Men's Lacrosse Schedule

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The University of North Carolina will play host to six of its 11 regular-season games next spring in the 2003 schedule announced Friday by UNC head coach John Haus.
The Tar Heels will kick off the regular season with a game against Bucknell at Fetzer Field on Saturday, February 22 at 1 p.m. Other home opponents include Notre Dame on March 8, Denver on March 15, Duke on March 19, Johns Hopkins on March 29 and Air Force on April 26.
Carolina will also play a scrimmage at home against Limestone on February 8.
The Tar Heels make road trips in 2003 to Navy, Ohio State, Maryland, Virginia and UMBC. The 2003 Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament will be played April 18 and 20 at Klockner Stadium on the University of Virginia campus.
UNC also plays three scrimmages this fall including a match up against the Alumni on October 25.
Carolina lost only one starter and seven letter winners off the 2002 team which finished 12th in the nation with an 8-5 record.
