Senior Night With Flair Thursday At Carmichael

The UNC women's basketball team will play its final home game of the season on Thursday evening when the Tar Heels host Maryland at Carmichael Auditorium. Tipoff is 7 p.m. and there are several special events scheduled for the evening:
* UNC's four seniors will be honored along with their parents before the game. Thursday's action at Carmichael will be the last at home for Coretta Brown, Courtney Chambers, Elizabeth Coughran and Jennifer Thomas.
* Wrestler Ric Flair (a.k.a. Nature Boy) will serve as an Honorary Guest Coach.
* Local mascots will play in a halftime scrimmage game. Taking the court will be the Carolina Courage's Roary, the Carolina Hurricanes' Stormy, the Durham Bulls' Wool E. Bull, the Chick-Fil-A Cow, Mr. Taco from Taco Bell, T J'ette from Southwest Airlines and, of course, UNC's own Rameses.
* Giveaways throughout the evening will include ACC Women's Basketball Tournament tickets, a mountain bike from Dick's Sporting Goods, leather furniture from Riggsbee-Hinson Furniture Co., Carolina Women's Basketball mini-basketballs and more.
