UNC's Austin Garrison Named ACC Men's Lacrosse Player Of The Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. - North Carolina's Austin Garrison was named ACC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week Monday afternoon.
Garrison, a midfielder from New Canaan, Conn., had eight points in two games as North Carolina won a pair of games last week by defeating No. 25 Ohio State 9-8 and Denver 10-6. The senior compiled three goals and an assist in both of the games to lead the Tar Heels to two wins.
Garrison is second on the team in goals with 9 and points with 13.
Up next for the Tar Heels is a conference match-up with Duke in Chapel Hill Wednesday, March 19 at 7:30 pm. It is also seat cushion night at Fetzer Field. The first 200 fans through the gates will receive a FREE Carolina Lacrosse seat cushion courtesy of Mail Boxes, Etc. on Fordham Blvd. The game will also be a 2002-03 Carlyle Cup event currently led by Duke 17 to 12.5 points.
